Pups and Fashion
Meet Tanabe the Yorkshire Terrier and Taxi the most adorable French bulldog you ever did see! Despite their quarrels with their age differences (Tanabe being 7 years old and Taxi a young 6 months) they can agree to share their love of being outdoors and their love for their mommies. If that’s not enough, we also share the same initials; Sarean and Tanabe/ Sophinie and Taxi. Coincidence? I think not. I would say more like dog-owners meant to be ^_^
Here are some photos of our walk in Downtown San Diego. Isn’t the photo of Taxi and Sophinie too cute?!

What I wore: Zara Printed Grey Pants, Zara Black Peep-toe Booties, Balenciaga Bag, and Forever 21 Peplum Top.
Art, Food, & Friends
I had the pleasure in attending two of Ms. Sophinie’s art shows this month in downtown San Diego. I must say, it has been great to get to know such a talented person in the short amount of time I have known her. She is truly crafted in what she does. I look forward to seeing many more of her amazing pieces and collaborating with her on our blogs ^_^
Here are some photos below from the art show this past Tuesday at Bar Basic in downtown San Diego. If you are looking for something to do on a Tuesday night, attend Bar Basic’s “Art Night” for some good pizza, music, drinks, and art from local artist.

Color Palette: Black & Red
Ready to ditch the shorts and tees, I started doing some fall clothing shopping. I couldn’t help but notice all the red/burgundy clothing for this fall. Everything from patterns, flannels, and pants seem to be in this popular color. Unfortunately for my closet, this is a color that seems to be missing. If you are anything like me, black and any other monochromatic color seem to be the dominating color that is taking over my closet.
Here are some inspirational pieces to help add red to your fall wardrobe.

Change of Scenery, 3 Girls with 3 Different Looks
One of the luxuries of living in Southern California is that you can drive about one hour-two hours to a whole different city and you are in a whole new atmosphere. The change of scenery from SD ->LA is one I frequently run to. I will never neglect my city but sometimes I need that new place to bring me inspiration or to open my eyes to new things. Example, who opens a whole store just based on a couple t-shirts with donuts on them? Why only in LA of course! And is it just me or are the kids in LA on a different level of cool?!
Luckily for me, I also have the luxury of sharing these journeys with the best of friends. We may not be as cool as the LA kids but we can think so after a couple mango mojitos during happy hour. ^_^

A Farewell to Summer
And a season later…. I can’t believe summer is already gone. Where did it go? I apologize for neglecting you. Life has really kept me busy these past couple months. With moving to a new place (which I am absolutely loving!), trips, work, dealing with a sick dog I haven’t found time to do the things I enjoy most, including updating Tinted Gold!
Here are some recent photos from my one time I got to enjoy the beach this summer. Total beach bum style.
NYC Day II – Top of the Rock

I’m leaving once more for NYC! Crazy & totally unexpected! Get ready for a month worth of New York City photos! <3 Here’s part II- Day II. If you are looking to get great city shots of NYC, Top of the Rock’s Observation Deck in the Rockefeller Plaza is a must. Three levels to shoot from and you get a view of the Empire State building on one side and Central Park on the other.

Welcome to NYC Part I – Day 1
I think I finally caught up on my sleep after 4 long days in New York City. Now I know why they call it “the city that never sleeps.”
Our first day in NYC was crazy to say the least. In less than 6 hours we witnessed a mugger being chased by police, military men dressed in uniform (fleet week), crowded city streets, bright lights, and amazing Italian food. We stayed at the beautiful Affinia Manhattan hotel where we walked to Time Square and to our first dinner in NYC at Tony’s DiNapoli. A great place to eat if you are looking for Italian food served family style. Their white Sangria is also to die for! Here’s a photo journey of our first day in NYC. Part II-Part IV coming soon!
Smitten with Printin
So I have been getting ready for my upcoming trip to New York City and words can’t describe how excited I am for this trip! Only 7 more days and its hello NYC! I’ve been doing a little shopping for my trip and I can’t even begin to say how hard it has been to pick what I want to wear because of all the amazing bright colors and all the fabulous prints! Everything from florals to tribal– I want to wear them all! Here’s some inspiration to print up your summer fits.

A Very Tuesday Do
I’ve been MIA! But for good reasons I promise. This past week I finally checked off one of my bucket list items which was to attend a Coldplay concert! And yes, it was amazingly, amazing! I am still in awe by it. The lights, the fireworks, the music, and the surprises–love love love! Pictures/videos from that night TBD! Also, this past week my little cousin from Utah came down to take her senior portraits with me. All I can say is gorgeous! I promise to post these up soon.
On another note, I decided I would try something different with my hair. I hardly wear my hair up (because I’m lazy to do anything with it) but to my surprise this messy bun do was super easy and fast. Here is a photo from today with my new clutch that I am in love with.
(What I wore: H&M beige suede heels, H&M jean jacket (a few years back), Nordstrom straw clutch)
Want to achieve the messy bun do? Here is a simple tutorial video from Forever 21 that shows how easy this is. Unfortunately I have A LOT of hair so mine doesn’t look exactly like their models but it still works for me.
Happy Taco Tuesdays!
