Handle With C.A.R.E Fundraiser Event

Recently I have been busy planning a fundraiser event for Project “Handle with C.A.R.E”, Cambodia 2013. HWC2013 is a project my family and I have put together for a mission trip to Cambodia.  The trip’s main goal is to provide the people of Cambodia with C.A.R.E (Compassion, Assistance, Resources, and Education). Please join us on Saturday December 15th, 2012 in Downtown San Diego to dance, drink, and donate the night a way as we end the year and start the new one for a great cause!

For further information check please visit us at  http://www.hwc2013.net for updates and ways to get involved!

Downtown in East Village

Looking for a coffee place in Downtown San Diego with delicious lattes and to get a little work done on your laptop? Try The Village 631 in East Village of downtown San Diego.  This place has (in my opinion) one of the best chai tea lattes, a fun little wine bar, and your feline friends are welcome! For more information visit their website at www.thevillageat631.com.

Here’s some photos of me and Janelle on our way to the coffee shop.

Peace and a latte love!

Bon Appetit! San Diego

A couple weeks ago Sophinie, Brandon, and myself met up for lunch at Cafe Chloe in downtown San Diego.  The cafe featured cute French motifs and had a “Parisian” like outdoor seating area. Welcoming you into the cafe were two large dog statues, letting you know that pet owners were welcome to the cafe (see Taxi’s approval photo below).

I had the macaroni, pancetta, & bleu d’auvergne gratin(minus the pancetta) and we shared a basket of “pomme frites.” Tres bien! Definitely a chic little spot to have lunch with friends in downtown San Diego. Bon Appetit San Diego!

Pups and Fashion

Meet Tanabe the Yorkshire Terrier and Taxi the most adorable French bulldog you ever did see! Despite their quarrels with their age differences (Tanabe being 7 years old and Taxi a young 6 months) they can agree to share their love of being outdoors and their love for their mommies.  If that’s not enough, we also share the same initials; Sarean and Tanabe/ Sophinie and Taxi.  Coincidence? I think not. I would say more like dog-owners meant to be ^_^

Here are some photos of our walk in Downtown San Diego.  Isn’t the photo of Taxi and Sophinie too cute?!What I wore: Zara Printed Grey Pants, Zara Black Peep-toe Booties, Balenciaga Bag, and Forever 21 Peplum Top.

Art, Food, & Friends

I had the pleasure in attending two of Ms. Sophinie’s art shows this month in downtown San Diego. I must say, it has been great to get to know such a talented person in the short amount of time I have known her. She is truly crafted in what she does. I look forward to seeing many more of her amazing pieces and collaborating with her on our blogs ^_^

Here are some photos below from the art show this past Tuesday at Bar Basic in downtown San Diego.  If you are looking for something to do on a Tuesday night, attend Bar Basic’s “Art Night” for some good pizza, music, drinks, and art from local artist.

A Farewell to Summer

And a season later…. I can’t believe summer is already gone. Where did it go? I apologize for neglecting you. Life has really kept me busy these past couple months. With moving to a new place (which I am absolutely loving!), trips, work, dealing with a sick dog I haven’t found time to do the things I enjoy most, including updating Tinted Gold!

Here are some recent photos from my one time I got to enjoy the beach this summer. Total beach bum style.

Chez Moi

It’s been a long time since I’ve had a day with no plans. It started off with a warm green-tea latte from Starbucks outside.  The weather was a little gloomy, but it was nice to enjoy the morning on my patio set that I hardly ever sit on. I seriously need to plan more mornings out there.

Afterwards, I decided I would take Tanabe (my dog) out.  We headed to Kate Sessions Memorial Park which has an amazing view. The park sits up on top of a hill and overlooks all of Mission Bay and Mission Beach. If you are looking for a dog friendly park in San Diego this is definitely a great place to go. Everyone is super friendly and it’s great to see the dogs running around playing together.

Here are some photos from this morning on my patio.
